Pharmacological action

Anti-estrogenic drug of non-steroidal structure. The mechanism of action is due to specific binding to ovarian and pituitary estrogen receptors. At low content of estrogens in the body it shows moderate estrogenic effect, at high content – anti-estrogenic effect. In low doses it increases the secretion of gonadotropins (prolactin, FSH and LH), stimulates ovulation; in high doses it inhibits the secretion of gonadotropins. It does not possess gestagenic and androgenic activity.

Indication for use

• anovulatory infertility (induction of ovulation);
• amenorrhoea (dysgonadotropic form);
• secondary amenorrhoea;
• postcontraceptive amenorrhoea;
• Stein-Leventhal syndrome (polycystic ovary syndrome);
• oligomenorrhoea;
• galactorrhoea (against the background of a pituitary tumour);
• Chiari-Frommel syndrome (prolonged postpartum amenorrhoea-galactorrhoea syndrome);
• androgen deficiency;
• in men: oligospermia.

Special instructions

In case of absence of ovulation before the drug administration it is necessary to exclude or treat all other possible forms of infertility.

In case of occurrence of ovarian enlargement or cystic changes against the background of drug administration, treatment should be stopped until the size of ovaries returns to normal. Then the reception can be resumed, but at the same time reduce the dose of the drug or duration of treatment.

Increases the probability of multiple pregnancies.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored out of reach of children at a temperature of 15 ° to 25 ° C.
